I just inhaled my quessobirria stuffed burger and it was truly a life changing experience. I'm officially hooked and obsessed and I must try all the stuffed burgers now. My mom got the double smash burger and loved it.

This was my first experience with the Hibachi Queens… and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the show was so much fun. Eric was a true showman and chef and Christian was the best frontman.

I am an event coordinator that works with Univision and we booked them for our soccer tournament. We had over 5,000 people at this one day event and his food truck was the top seller out of all the vendors at the event. He had over 250 orders that day. Food was absolutely delicious.

El Güero Food Truck
Los Angeles, CA 90021

Three Los Angeles County food-truck caterers made this list, ranked by Google rating then review count. Each cleared a review-distribution and food-safety screen before being featured, and every rating below was read directly from Google on October 12, 2026. "Food truck" covers three different setups here — a truck that comes to your venue, a hibachi chef who brings the whole table setting, and a truck that never moves — so the format matters as much as the rating.

Michele Leocadio creates restaurant content for Elev8ed Table. We decide who’s featured on merit alone and never sell placement or ranking — nobody in this guide paid for inclusion.

These three publish wildly different amounts about themselves, and that's the single most useful thing to know before you start calling. El Güero publishes everything — three packages with prices, guest counts and service windows, bookable online without speaking to anyone. Hibachi Queens publishes a full price list that hasn't been updated since 2022. Bun & Blanket publishes nothing at all. None of that tells you which food is best; all of it tells you how much of your evening the booking will take.

Work out whether you're buying food or buying a performance. Hibachi Queens sells the catering side as a staged dinner — its packages specify chairs, tables, covers, decor, plates and chopsticks, and the entry tier names a traditional Japanese black-and-red setting with no substitutions. El Güero is the opposite end: tacos off a truck with plasticware and agua fresca included, priced per package. Bun & Blanket is a burger menu built on stuffed rather than stacked patties, with no published apparatus around it at all. All three are legitimate; they are not substitutes for each other.

Every candidate is screened before it reaches this page, and most of this county's pool doesn't clear. Working through the Los Angeles County pool for this guide, one candidate turned out to be a Ventura County business outside the area we cover, two failed our review-distribution floor, one was a hot dog stand rather than a caterer, and one was excluded earlier on a food-safety complaint. This page grows as more clear, and not before — inclusion is editorial and is never for sale.

What to ask before you book

  • What exactly arrives — truck, chef, or both? El Güero brings a truck to your venue; Hibachi Queens sends a chef with the full hibachi table setting; Bun & Blanket is parked permanently outside a Glendale brewery and doesn't move at all.
  • How current is the price you're being quoted? Hibachi Queens' published tiers ($1,750–$4,500, plus $70.99–$84.99/pp buffets) haven't been updated since June 2022; El Güero's online packages ($920 for 50 guests, $1,970 for 100) are live and current; Bun & Blanket publishes no pricing at all.
  • What's the guest minimum, and does it push you toward a different format? Hibachi Queens needs just 10–15 guests for table service but 35 for buffet; El Güero's smallest package starts at 50; Bun & Blanket publishes no minimum, so ask before you plan around one.

Frequently asked questions

What does food-truck catering cost in Los Angeles County?

Only one of these three publishes current pricing. El Güero's packages run $920 for 50 guests and $1,970 for 100 — roughly $18–$20 a head. Hibachi Queens' table-service tiers start at $1,750, $2,200, $2,750 and $4,500, with buffets at $70.99 and $84.99 per person, but that pricing is from June 2022. Bun & Blanket quotes on enquiry and publishes nothing. Get all three in writing on the same guest count before you compare them.

How many guests do you need?

Hibachi Queens publishes the lowest floor — 10 for table service Sunday through Friday, 15 on Saturday, and 35 for the buffet. El Güero's smallest published package is built for 50. Bun & Blanket publishes no minimum or maximum, so ask directly.

Are these actually mobile?

One straightforwardly, two with caveats. El Güero brings the truck to your venue and asks you to confirm there's space or parking for it. Hibachi Queens runs a truck alongside two fixed South Bay locations and sells on-site service at your venue. Bun & Blanket is a truck with a permanent pitch outside a Glendale brewery that doesn't travel to events.

Can they do vegan or vegetarian?

All three say so themselves. Hibachi Queens states vegetarian and vegan options are available across its packages. El Güero offers a veggie protein on its taquiza packages. Bun & Blanket declares vegan and vegetarian catering on its own Yelp profile and runs a dedicated vegan/vegetarian menu section. Confirm the detail directly when you book.
