Hibachi Queens brings a hibachi chef to the event rather than a tray of food. The company runs a food truck alongside two fixed locations in the South Bay, one in Signal Hill and one in Long Beach, and it sells the catering side as a staged dinner: the grill, the chef, the table, and the room it sits in. Its own description of the business is about the room rather than the menu — bringing people together over a meal and making a memory of it.
The catering packages make those priorities plain. Every tier arrives with chairs, tables, chair and table covers, decor, plates, napkins, utensils and chopsticks, and the entry tier specifies a traditional Japanese black-and-red setting with no substitutions. What scales across the range is not just the protein list but how dressed the room gets.
The truck menu is where the kitchen's actual range shows. Combination plates are built as Duos, Trios and a Queen's Choice, all served with steamed rice and vegetables: Duos run from chicken and shrimp up to filet mignon and lobster, Trios add a third protein, and the Queen's Choice pairs filet mignon with shrimp and lobster. Single entrées run from hibachi chicken and spicy chicken through New York steak, filet mignon, salmon, hibachi scallops and twin lobster tails. There are fried rice bowls in chicken, steak and shrimp, and a Diablo Noodles section built on udon. Seven house sauces are listed separately at fifty cents each — ginger, fire, diablo, yum yum, teriyaki, garlic butter and chili paste. Prices on that menu ran from $17 for hibachi chicken to $48 for a filet mignon, shrimp and chicken trio when the page was last updated in January 2024.
One practical note if you are comparing prices. Both locations are listed on DoorDash, and the truck is also on Uber Eats and Postmates, but the same dishes cost more on those platforms than on the business's own menu page: a New York steak entrée is listed at $22 on its own menu and $24 on Uber Eats, and a filet mignon and chicken combination is $31 on its own menu against $39 there. Ordering through the business's own link is the cheaper route. Either way these are single-serving truck prices, not catering pricing — the catering packages are quoted separately and start from a different structure entirely.
Two formats. Table service runs four tiers, all including house salad, garlic edamame, fried rice, hibachi vegetables and the company's own dipping sauces. Premium starts at $1,750 for a choice of two proteins from chicken, shrimp and New York steak. Queens starts at $2,200 and adds filet mignon and a third protein, with per-guest menu customization offered at $50 and an ivory or white base colour at $85. Royal starts at $2,750, bringing salmon, scallops and lobster into the choice and adding gyoza, chicken fried rice and dessert. VIP starts at $4,500 and adds ribeye and wagyu, printed menus, glassware, floating candles and fresh flower arrangements matched to the colour scheme. Minimum guests for table service are 10 Sunday through Friday and 15 on Saturday. Buffet is two options, Premium at $70.99 per person and Supreme at $84.99, both including staff, cutlery and disposable dinnerware, and both explicitly excluding the setup that comes with table service. Buffet requires 35 guests. The company states that vegetarian and vegan options are available across the packages. Separately from catering, the truck sells single-serving combination plates, fried rice bowls, entrees and udon noodles for pickup and delivery through the business's own ordering link and an Uber Eats storefront; those are retail prices and are not catering rates. NOTE: every catering figure here is owner-published and dated 2022-06-13, and the truck menu figures are dated 2024-01-30. Both must be date-attributed on the page and never presented as current pricing.
This was my first experience with the Hibachi Queens… and they did not disappoint! The food was delicious and the show was so much fun. Eric was a true showman and chef and Christian was the best frontman.
We hired this company for our company dinner and Eric was amazing! So funny and the food was amazing.
Eric is amazing, food is incredible, set up is smooth and they make everything so easy. We've used them many times and had amazing experiences.
