Two real, confirmed restaurant openings in San Bernardino County this cycle — fewer than the five we aim for, because the county’s new-restaurant press coverage is thinner right now than Los Angeles, Orange, or San Diego. We’d rather publish two verified openings than pad this guide with stale news or unconfirmed plans, and we’ll add more as soon as they clear our bar.

Michele Leocadio creates restaurant content for Elev8ed Table. We decide who’s featured on merit alone and never sell placement or ranking — nobody in this guide paid for inclusion.

Primecut Taqueria — Owner Ivan Maldonado brought his taqueria chain to Rancho Cucamonga, opening its first Inland Empire location at 11561 W. Foothill Blvd., Suite 101, by September 9. The menu centers on birria tacos and quesadillas, the same format that’s built the chain’s following at its Orange County locations. Confidence: Verified (WhatNow Orange County, Sept. 2026).

Angry Chickz — The Nashville hot chicken chain, founded by David Mkhitaryan, opened its first Inland Empire restaurant at 960 N. Haven Ave., Suite 140, with a grand opening on July 17 that included a jersey giveaway for the first 100 guests and a raffle for the first 500. The chain has since expanded to other Inland Empire cities, but Ontario was its first local location. Confidence: Verified for the announced opening date and address (Angry Chickz press release and Franchising.com, July 10, 2026); day-of confirmation that doors opened on schedule hasn’t been independently re-checked since.

What to ask before you go

  • At Primecut Taqueria, ask about daily specials — chain locations often run different promotions by city.
  • At Angry Chickz, call ahead on weekends; new hot chicken openings in the Inland Empire have drawn long lines in their first months.

FAQs

Why does this guide only have two restaurants?
San Bernardino County’s new-restaurant coverage this cycle didn’t clear our sourcing bar for a fifth, or even a third, independently confirmed opening — we’d rather publish fewer verified entries than include an unconfirmed one. We’ll update this guide as soon as more real openings are confirmed.

Is Primecut Taqueria independently owned?
It’s a small Southern California taqueria chain with locations in Huntington Beach, Placentia, and Anaheim; Rancho Cucamonga is its fourth location and first in the Inland Empire.

Is Angry Chickz open now?
Its grand opening was July 17, 2026, with promotions for early guests. We haven’t independently re-confirmed hours since, so call ahead before a special trip.

What makes Angry Chickz different from other hot chicken spots?
It’s a fast-growing Nashville-style hot chicken chain that had not had an Inland Empire location before this one opened in Ontario.
